City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management to Repair CriticalInfrastructure

Advises of Possible Water Service Disruption to Hemphill Pressure Zone

Who: The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM)

What: DWM discovered a pipe leak at the 14th Street Waterworks Facility near the Hemphill Steam Pump Station. Out of an abundance of caution, DWM is notifying all customers, critical facilities and businesses to be prepared in the event of possible loss of water service over the course of the repairs. To mitigate the risk of an interruption, prep work to install leak control equipment is currently underway.

When: Repair efforts will begin on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 8 a.m. and will continue until the leak is repaired.
