City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management’s Newly Built Command Center Actively Monitoring Progress of Winter Storm Enzo
ATLANTA — As Metro Atlanta prepares for anticipated freezing temperatures this week, the Department of Watershed Management’s newly built Command Center is actively monitoring the progress of Winter Storm Enzo 24 hours a day. The Command Center serves a critical function in ensuring the continuity of water services, particularly under adverse weather conditions. The anticipated cold temperatures present distinct challenges to water infrastructure and elevate the demand for system monitoring. The DWM Command Center is fully equipped to address these conditions, offering real-time oversight and the swift deployment of resources as necessary.
“As freezing temperatures approach, the Command Center will maintain round-the-clock operations to support mission-critical crews that are responsible for ensuring Atlanta’s water infrastructure remains resilient and reliable,” said DWM Commissioner Al Wiggins. “This facility is a testament to our commitment in managing the city’s water systems.
