Comments: Crews will repair a 12-inch stormwater main located at 501 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW, resulting in the closure of Martin Luther King Jr. SW between Beckwith Court and Northside Drive. Work began Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will last approximately ten days, weather permitting. The road will reopen once the work is complete.

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists through the detour route. Residents and businesses will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.

Travelling eastbound N Martin Luther King Jr Drive NW, continue east past Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW (Tatnall St). Turn right onto Northside Drive going southbound on Northside Drive intersects Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW.

Traveling northbound Northside Drive, continue north past Matin Luther King Jr Drive SW. Continue north past N MLK Jr Dr NW, turn left onto Carter St NW westbound. Carter St NW becomes Maple St NW southbound, turn right onto N Martin Luther King Jr. Drive NW going westbound on N Martin Luther King Jr. Drive NW intersects Matin Luther King Jr Drive SW (Tatnall St).
