Temporary Road Closure near the intersection of Gardner St. SW and McDaniel St. SW due to Manhole Replacement Construction

What: Emergency Road closure due stormwater main repair

Where: Temporary road closure on Gardner St. SW and a temporary lane closure on McDaniel St. SW due to manhole replacement construction

When: Monday, August 23, 2021, lasting approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Operational Hours for crew members are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Comments: Crews will be performing manhole replacement construction.

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone.

Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. Church staff and members of churches near the work zone will continue to have access to their respective churches. Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. Residents and churches will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Details: From Gardner St. SW westbound: Traffic will be rerouted from the West to turn left (South) onto McDaniel St. SW and right (West) onto Mary St. SW. Then they will take a right onto Hubbard St. SW (North) and then take a left (West) onto Gardner St. SW ending the detour.

From Gardner St. SW eastbound: Traffic will be rerouted from the East to turn right (South) onto Hubbard St. SW and then take a left (East) onto Mary St. SW. Then they will take a left (North) onto McDaniel St. SW. The final turn will be a right (East) onto Gardner St. SW ending the detour.
