24-Hour Road Closure near 728 Monroe Dr. NE due to Sewer Line Connection Replacement Construction – Extended Timeframe
What: 24-hour road closure due to Sewer Line Connection Replacement Construction
Where: Monroe Dr. NE. between Ponce De Leon Ave. NE and St. Charles Ave. NE.
When: Monday February 27, 2023, lasting approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting. Operational Hours for crew members are Sunday through Friday from, overnight 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Comments: Crews will be performing Sewer Line Connection Replacement Construction
Traffic control measures and signage are in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents, business owners, employees and customers will still have access to their homes and businesses. Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. Residents and businesses will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pickup. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.
DETOUR:
Monroe Dr. NE will be closed to through traffic between Ponce De Leon Ave. NE and St. Charles Ave. NE (overnight; 7 p.m. – 6 a.m.).
Motorists traveling West on Ponce De Leon Ave. NE will be routed to continue traveling West and turn right onto Charles Allen Dr. NE, heading towards 8th St. NE. Turn right onto 8th St. NE heading towards Monroe Dr. NE to end the detour.
Motorists traveling South on Monroe Dr. NE will be routed to turn right onto Greenwood Ave. NE heading towards Charles Allen Dr. NE. Follow detour route and turn left onto Charles Allen Dr. NE heading towards Ponce De Leon Ave. NE to end the detour.
The sidewalk on the eastside of Monroe Dr. NE will remain open for pedestrian use. The sidewalk on the westside of Monroe Dr. NE will be closed for pedestrian use during work zone operational hours (overnight; 7 p.m. – 6 a.m.).
