Emergency Closure at Intersection of Benjamin E Mays Drive SW, Fairburn Road SW, & Richard Allen Blvd
What: Closure of intersection due to emergency valve replacement
Where: Intersection at Benjamin E Mays Drive SW, Fairburn Road SW, and Richard Allen Blvd.
When: Wednesday, February 21, through March 13, 2024
Comments:
Crews will be replacing a valve on a 30-inch water main. Traffic control measures and signs are in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work zone will continue to have access to their homes, mail, and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
Detour:
Traveling northbound on Fairburn Road SW – Turn right on Cascade Road, turn left on Lynhurst Drive SW, turn left on M.L.K. Jr. Drive SW, turn left on Boulder Park Drive SW, and right on Fairburn Road SW.
Traveling southbound on Fairburn Road SW – Turn left on Boulder Park Drive SW, right on M.L.K. Jr. Drive SW, right on Lynhurst Drive SW, right on Cascade Road, and left on Fairburn Road SW.
Traveling westbound on Benjamin E. Mays Drive SW – Turn left on Lynhurst Drive SW, right on Cascade Road, and left on Fairburn Road SW.
Traveling eastbound on Benjamin E. Mays Drive SW – Turn right on Lynhurst Drive SW, turn left on M.L.K. Jr. Drive SW, turn left on Boulder Park Drive SW, and right on Fairburn Road SW.
