due to Stormwater Main Line Replacement Construction

What: Full Road closure due to stormwater main line replacement construction

Where: Near 392 Ormond St. SE between Cherokee Ave. SE and Hill St. SE

When: Monday, February 12, 2024, for approximately four months, weather permitting. Operational hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Comments:

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, hospitals, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible.

Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Detour:

Motorists traveling south on Cherokee Ave. SE will turn right on Atlanta Ave. SE. They will travel west and turn right onto Grant St. SE. Motorists will then travel until reaching Ormond St. SE to end the detour.

Motorists traveling north on Cherokee Ave. SE will turn left on Atlanta Ave. SE. They will travel west and turn right onto Grant St. SE. Motorists will then travel until reaching Ormond St. SE to end the detour.
