What: Temporary lane closure for curb and asphalt restoration work. 

Where: 99 26th Street NW, between Alden Avenue NW and Peachtree Street NW 

When: Monday, February 16 – Friday, February 20, 2026 (weather permitting) 

Work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Comments: Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists 

around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible. 

Vehicles usually parked in the street will need alternative parking. However, the community will still be accessible for mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Motorists entering the work zone for any reason should proceed with caution or avoid the area, if possible.
