Location: Ormond St. SE between Hank Aaron Drive SW and Fraser Street SE 

Date & Duration: Work will take place starting Thursday, February 5, 2026, and continue through Friday, February 13, 2026, weather permitting. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The road will be plated and reopened between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. every night for the duration of the closure. 

Details: As part of compliance with a regulatory consent order, emergency sewer repairs will be performed, including the removal and replacement of existing sewer mains to address defects and increase system capacity. 

Traffic Control: Traffic control measures and signage are in place to safely guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work area will maintain access to homes, mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash collection. 

Parking will be restricted on the north side of Ormond Street SE between Greenfield Street SE and Martin Street SE, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the project. 

Property owners will be notified in advance of any periods with limited driveway access. Residents traveling westbound on Ormond Street SE will still be able to access driveways within the closure area, and construction crews will assist residents with safe passage through the work zone as needed. 

Contractor crews will also coordinate directly with property owners to facilitate planned driveway exits during work hours, with access routed to either Hank Aaron Drive or Fraser Street. 

Detour: From Ormond St. SE, traffic is directed south on Hank Aaron Drive SW; then east on Atlanta Ave. SE; then north on Fraser St. SE; and reconnecting back to Ormond St. SE east of the closure
