Temporary 24-hour Road Closure due to Sewer Mainline Rehabilitation near 2049Garden Cir. SE between 2nd Ave. SE and McAfee Rd. SE (Dekalb County)
What: Temporary 24-hour road closure due to Sewer Mainline Rehabilitation
Where: 2049 Garden Cir. SE between 2nd Ave. SE and McAfee Rd. SE (Dekalb County)
When: WMonday, January 20, 2025, lasting approximately three – four months (if necessary), weather permitting. Operational Hours are Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (maximizing daylight hours).
Comments: Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible. Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.
Detour: Motorists on McAfee Rd. SE traveling towards 2nd Ave. SE will be guided to 2nd Ave. SE where they may turn left heading towards Garden Cir. SE.
Residents living on and motorists traveling on Delphine Way SE will be guided to enter/exit via McAfee Rd. SE.
Residents living on and motorists traveling on Garden Cir. SE will be guided to enter/exit via McAfee Rd. SE or 2nd Ave. SE depending on where they live on the street and where the sewer construction is taking place on the street upon their entering/exiting.
The primary detour streets are McAfee Rd. SE and 2nd Ave. SE.
Residents of the community will be allowed to enter & exit accordingly.
