Location: 181 10th Street NE between Piedmont Avenue NE and Juniper Street NE 

Date & Duration: Work will begin on Monday, January 12, 2026, with a 24-hour road closure in place. The work is expected to last approximately four weeks, weather permitting. Work will occur Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Details: As part of compliance with a regulatory consent order, emergency sewer repairs will be conducted, existing sewer mains will be removed and replaced to repair defects and increase the sewer system’s capacity. 

Traffic Control: Traffic control measures and signage are in place to safely guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work area will maintain access to homes, mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash collection. 

Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution, follow posted detours, and avoid the area when possible. Alternative parking will be required for vehicles typically parked on the street. 

Detours: Motorists traveling eastbound on 10th Street NE turn right on Juniper Street NE., left on 8th Street NE., left on Piedmont Avenue NE., and right on 10th Street NE. 

Motorists traveling South on Juniper Street NE turn left on 8th Street NE., left on Piedmont Ave NE., and right on 10th Street NE.
