The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has contracted Ruby-Collins, Inc. to replace a 24-inch and 36-inch storm sewer line at 921 Byron Drive SW and 1527 Sylvan Road SW.

The work will begin on Friday, July 7, 2023, and continue through Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling near the work zone. Residents will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up.

Detour:

Traffic heading south on Sylvan Road SW will turn right onto Deckner Avenue SW, then left onto Melrose Drive SW, then left onto Burn Drive SW.

Traffic heading north on Sylvan Road SW will turn left onto Burns Drive SW, then right onto Melrose Drive SW, then right onto Deckner Avenue SW.

Residents on Byron Drive SW will turn either left onto Melrose Drive SW, then left onto Burns Drive SW or turn right onto Melrose Drive SW and right onto Deckner Avenue SW.
