Comments: Crews will replace the existing valve at Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. NW, requiring the closure of the southbound lanes. Work is scheduled for Monday, July 12, 2021, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., weather permitting and will last an additional seven days.

Traffic control measures and flaggers will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.

Detour Truck Traffic: Traveling southbound on Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. NW, turn left on Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW, right on Northside Drive NW, then right on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive NW, left on Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. NW.
