What: Temporary 24-hour road closure due to Sewer Main Rehabilitation

Where: 386 Gartrell St. SE between William Holmes Borders Senior Dr. SE and Jackson St. SE, including the intersection of William Holmes Borders Senior Dr. SE

When: Tuesday, July 22, 2025, lasting approximately four – six weeks (if necessary), weather permitting. Operational Hours are Monday – Friday (Saturday if necessary & approved) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (maximizing daylight hours).

Comments: Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible. Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Detour: Motorists traveling West on Gartrell St. SE, take a right onto Jackson St. SE heading towards Chamberlain St. SE. Take a left onto Chamberlain St. SE heading towards William Holmes Borders Senior Dr. SE. Take a right onto William Holmes Borders Senior Dr. SE to end the detour.

Motorists traveling East on Tanner St. SE, take a right onto Hilliard St. SE heading towards Decatur St. SE. Take a left onto Decatur St. SE heading towards Jackson St. SE. Take a left onto Jackson St. SE heading towards Decatur St. SE. Take a right onto Decatur St. SE to end the detour.

Motorists traveling East on Decatur St. SE, take a left onto Jackson St. SE heading towards Gartrell St. SE. Take a right onto Gartrell St. SE to end the detour.

Motorists traveling South on William Holmes Borders Senior Dr. NE, take a right onto Tanner St. SE heading towards Hilliard St. SE. Take a left onto Hilliard St. SE heading towards Decatur St. SE. Take a right onto Decatur St. SE to end the detour.

Motorists traveling South on Hilliard St. SE heading towards Decatur St. SE will turn left onto Decatur St. SE to end the detour.

Residential and business traffic flow within the community will be accommodated accordingly.
