Temporary Road Closure Near 140 Alden Ave. NW due to Sewer Mainline Rehabilitation Construction

What: Temporary Road closure due to sewer mainline rehabilitation construction

Where: 140 Alden Ave. NW and 25th St. NW

When: Monday, June 10, 2024, and will last approximately until July 8, 2024 (if necessary) and weather permitting. Operational hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Comments:

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible.

Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Detour:
Motorists traveling from 26th St. NW to 25th St. NW will travel on Golden Gate Dr. NW turning right onto 26th St. NW then turning right (south) onto Peachtree St. NW then turning right (west) onto 25th St. NW to end the detour.

Motorists traveling from 25th St. NW to 26th St. NW will travel on Alden Ave. NW turning right (east) onto 25th St. NW then turning left (north) onto Peachtree St. NW then turning left (west) onto 26th St. NW to end detour.
