What: Temporary Road closure due to Pipe-Bursting

Where: 49 26th St. between Peachtree St. NW and Alden Ave. NW

When: Tuesday, May 28, 2024, until June 17, 2024, weather permitting. Operational Hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Comments:

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. If businesses, schools, and places of worship are near the work zone, they will continue to be accessible.

Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. The community will still be accessible regarding mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.

Motorists traveling South on Alden Ave. NW will turn left onto 26th St. NW heading towards Peachtree St. NW. Then turn left onto Peachtree St. NW to end the detour.

Motorists traveling North on Alden Ave. NW will turn right onto 26th St. NW heading towards Peachtree St. NW. Then turn left onto Peachtree St. NW to end the detour.

Motorists traveling South on Peachtree St. NW will turn right onto 26th St. NW heading towards Alden Ave. NW where the two streets connect to end the detour.

Motorists traveling North on Peachtree St. NW will turn left onto 26th St. NW, heading towards Alden Ave. NW, where the two streets connect to end the detour.
