Road Closure on Spence Avenue Due to Sewer Line Rehabilitation

 

What: Road closure to rehabilitate sewer line

Where: Spence Avenue between Hosea L Williams and Tupelo Street

When: Monday, November 18, 2019, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and will last approximately two weeks

 

Comments: Crews will rehabilitate the existing sewer line which requires the closure of Spence Avenue between Hosea L Williams and Tupelo Street. Work will start Monday, November 18, 2019 and will last approximately two weeks, weather permitting. The road will reopen when construction is complete.

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents who park their vehicles on the street will need to find alternative parking. Residents will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.

Detour: 

Traveling southbound on Spence Avenue, turn right on Hosea L. Williams, left on Daniel Avenue, then left on Tupelo Street to Spence Avenue.

Traveling northbound on Spence Avenue, turn left on Tupelo Street, right on Daniel Avenue, then right on Hosea L. Williams to Spence Avenue.
