Comments: Crews will rehabilitate the existing sewer system which requires the closure of 2nd Avenue NE between Memorial Drive and Hosea L. Williams. Work will begin Tuesday, September 17, 2019 and will last approximately three weeks, weather permitting. The road will reopen when construction is complete.

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents who park their vehicles on the street will need to find alternative parking. Residents will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.

Detour: Traveling southbound on 2nd Avenue, turn right on Hosea L. Williams, left on 1st Avenue, then left on Memorial Drive toward 2nd Avenue.

Traveling northbound on 2nd Avenue, turn right on Memorial Drive, left on 4th Avenue, then left on Hosea L. Williams toward 2nd Ave.

Traveling eastbound on Cottage Grove, turn right on 1st Avenue, then turn left on Memorial Drive.

Traveling westbound on Cottage Grove, turn right on 4th Avenue, left on Hosea L. Williams, then left on 1st Ave toward Cottage Grove.
