TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Saturday work approved for Temporary Road Closure near 1416 – 1434 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW
due to Sewer Main/Services Construction
What: Temporary Road closure due to sewer main/services construction
Where: Near 1416 – 1434 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW between Stokes Ave. SW and S. Gordon St. SW
When: Work began on Monday, August 23, 2021, and will last approximately eight – ten weeks, weather permitting. New operational Hours for crew members are Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Comments: Crews will be performing sewer main/services construction. Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone.
Residents residing in and near the work zone will continue to have access to their homes. Business owners and their staff will continue to have access to their respective businesses near the work zone. Alternative parking will be needed for vehicles usually parked in the street. Residents and businesses will continue to have access to mail and package delivery, emergency services and trash pick-up. Upon entering the work zone for any reason, please proceed with caution, and avoid the area if possible.
Detour: Temporary full road closure on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW between Stokes Ave. SW and S. Gordon St. SW.
Motorists traveling East on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW will turn right onto Stokes Ave. SW and then left onto Willard Ave. SW towards S. Gordon St. SW. Turn left onto S. Gordon St. SW and then turn right onto Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW to continue traveling East.
Motorists traveling West on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW will turn left onto S. Gordon St. SW and then turn right onto Willard Ave. SW towards Stokes Ave. SW. Turn right onto Stokes Ave. SW and then turn left onto Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW to continue traveling West.
