As part of the City’s continued commitment to advancing our efforts in implementing Green Infrastructure (GI) within City watersheds, the Department of Watershed Management is presenting a GI Design Challenge. There are six proposed locations throughout the City with the objective to engage the design community to design innovative and practical GI solutions.
The goal of the six projects is to maximize the infiltration and storage of stormwater runoff from surrounding areas while maintaining feasible construction and long-term maintenance costs. We invite the design community which includes landscape architects, engineers and green infrastructure specialists to learn more about the projects that will foster community involvement, provide environmental improvements and enhance neighborhoods.
