UPDATE

WATER MAIN BREAK REPAIR COMPLETE Boil Water Advisory Still In Effect

ATLANTA – Crews have completed multiple rounds of repairs on the aging pipe at the junction of Joseph E. Boone Blvd. and J.P. Brawley Dr. The system is gradually being brought back online to allow for the rebuilding of system pressures.

The boil water advisory is still in effect out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Georgia EPD guidance for public advisory.

The Department of Watershed Management will follow its flushing protocols for the system as a precaution and will sample the affected zones to confirm that there is no contamination. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division will advise the Department of Watershed Management when the advisory can be lifted.
