RTHE BOIL WATER ADVISORY IS LIFTED FOR THE CITIES OF SOUTH FULTON,
UNION CITY, PALMETTO, CHATTAHOOCHEE HILLS, AND FAIRBURN
DWM CONTINUES REPAIRS ON A 30-INCH TRANSMISSION MAIN
ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management has lifted the boil water advisory issued on Friday, October 20, 2023, for the cities of South Fulton, Union City, Palmetto, Chattahoochee Hills, and Fairburn.
The Department of Watershed Management crews continue working to repair a breach on a 30-inch transmission main located within the vicinity of 1041 Fairburn Road, SW. Pressures are normal throughout the system.
Sampling has confirmed there was no contamination of the public water system. Water may be used for all purposes without boiling. The City’s drinking water meets or exceeds standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified.
