Water and Sewer Rates
The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management has proposed to maintain the current monthly water and sewer rate structure for the period beginning July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2024. Revenues from the Municipal Option Sales Tax (MOST), careful fiscal planning and conservation efforts have allowed Atlanta to keep rates at current levels. Therefore, you will not see an increase in your monthly bill. The monthly rates apply to domestic, commercial, industrial and other users of the City of Atlanta system. Atlanta’s water and sewer rates have not increased since 2012.
Departmental operations and critical capital improvement projects are funded by monies generated from water and sewer rates and the MOST. These projects include the Water Supply Program, designed to increase Atlanta’s water reserve to more than 30 days.
