DWM Celebrates Women’s History Month
Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society, and has been observed every March since 1987 when the National Women’s History Alliance (NWHM) spearheaded this movement. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories”, which recognizes women who have been active in all forms of media and storytelling including print, radio, TV, stage, screen, blogs, podcasts, and more.
Commissioner Mikita K. Browning and Director of Communications Scheree Rawles are two of several female water professionals with DWM that tell OUR story. See how they engage internal and external stakeholders through our video productions and newsletters, on-air interviews with local media outlets, and on our social media platforms at atlantawatershed.org/womenshistory2023.
