Location: Intersection of Rockingham Dr. NW and Mornington Dr. NW 

Date & Duration: Monday, August 3, 2026, through Friday, August 21, 2026 

A 24-hour road closure will be implemented. The work is scheduled to continue for approximately seven weeks, weather permitting, with construction activities occurring Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

Details: As part of compliance with a regulatory consent order, the Department of Watershed Management (DWM) will perform emergency sewer repairs. Existing sewer mains will be removed and replaced to repair defects and increase the sewer system’s capacity. 

Traffic Control: Traffic control measures and signage are in place to safely guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work area will maintain access to homes, mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash collection. 

Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution, follow posted detours, and avoid the area when possible. Alternative parking will be required for vehicles typically parked on the street. 

Detours: Motorists traveling north on Rockingham Dr. NW should continue to the intersection of Rockingham Dr. NW and Mornington Dr. NW. Turn left onto Mornington Dr. NW and continue to Edinboro Rd. NW. Turn right onto Edinboro Rd. NW and proceed to Castlewood Dr. NW. Turn right onto Castlewood Dr. NW, then bear right onto Dover Rd. NW. Continue on Dover Rd. NW to Rockingham Dr. NW, where motorists may resume their normal route. 

Motorists traveling south on Rockingham Dr. NW should continue to Dover Rd. NW. Turn left onto Dover Rd. NW, then bear left onto Castlewood Dr. NW. Continue to Edinboro Rd. NW and turn left. Proceed to Mornington Dr. NW, turn left, and continue to Rockingham Dr. NW, where motorists may resume their normal route.
