TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Temporary Lane Closures Planned for Stormwater Improvements on Martin Street
Location: Martin Street SE between Little Street SE and Atlanta Ave SE
Date & Duration: Work will begin on Monday, July 6, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 24, 2026, weather permitting. Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The road will be plated and reopened to local traffic and residences between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.
Details: As part of compliance with a regulatory consent order, stormwater collection structure and pipe installations will be performed to increase system capacity.
Traffic Control: Traffic control measures and signage will be in place to safely guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work area will maintain access to work, homes, mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash collection.
Residents will be contacted prior to work if driveway access is restricted. Also, parking will be restricted on both sides of Martin Street SE, between Atlanta Avenue SE and Little Street SE, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the project. Additional road segments with parking restrictions on Ormond are highlighted below.
Note: Cars will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Property owners will be notified in advance of any periods with limited driveway access. Contractor crews will also coordinate directly with property owners to facilitate planned driveway exits during work hours and facilitate resident movement through the work area. On-site personnel will direct Martin Street residents through barricades on Atlanta Ave, Ormond Steet, or Little Street.
