What: Emergency lane closures to make an emergency repair. 

Where: Edgewood Ave. SE from Fort Street NE to Jackson Street NE. 

When: Friday, June, 2026, at 12 p.m. We will continue to provide updates as repairs are completed and additional information becomes available. 

Comments: Traffic control measures and signs are in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work zone will continue to have access to their homes, mail, and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid the area if possible. 

Detours: Traveling eastbound on Edgewood Ave. SE 

• Turn left onto Fort St. northbound 
• Turn right onto Auburn Ave. eastbound 
• Turn right onto Jackson St. southbound 
• Turn left to return onto Edgewood Ave. eastbound 

Traveling westbound on Edgewood Ave. SE 

• Turn right onto Jackson St. northbound 
• Turn left onto Auburn Ave. westbound 
• Turn left onto Leonard Tate St. (Bell St.) southbound 
• Turn right to return onto Edgewood Ave. westbound 

Traveling northbound on Hilliard St. SE: 

• Turn right onto Tanner St. eastbound 
• Turn left onto WH Borders then immediately right onto Chamberlain St. eastbound
