Location: Near the intersection of Forsyth Street NE and Carnegie Way NW 

Date & Duration: Beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the southbound lane of Carnegie Way NW between Ellis Street NW and Peachtree Street NW, as well as Forsyth Street NW, will be closed. In addition, one westbound lane between Peachtree Street NW and Williams Street NW will be closed. 

The work is expected to last approximately one week, weather permitting, and will take place Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Details: As part of the City’s water distribution maintenance program, crews will conduct valve replacement work on a 20-inch valve located near the intersection of Forsyth Street NE and Carnegie Way NW. 

Traffic Control: Traffic control measures and signage are in place to safely guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work area will maintain access to homes, mail and package delivery, emergency services, and trash collection. 

Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution, follow posted detours, and avoid the area when possible. Alternative parking will be required for vehicles typically parked on the street.
