Location: Peters Street SW between McDaniels Street SW and Chapel Street SW 

Date & Duration: Construction begins on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, and is expected to last approximately three weeks. Crews will work 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

Details: Closure of one inside eastbound lane and two westbound lanes due to the replacement of a large water valve 

Traffic Control: Traffic control measures and signs are in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and businesses within the work zone will continue to have access to their homes, mail, and package delivery, emergency services, and trash pick-up. Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
