City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management Lifts Boil Water Advisory
for Customers in City of South Fulton and Fairburn
ATLANTA – BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED. As of 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has lifted the Boil Water Advisory issued on Friday, July 17, 2026, for customers in the City of South Fulton and Fairburn.
Sampling results have confirmed that no contamination was detected in the public water system. Water may be used for all purposes without boiling. The City’s drinking water meets or exceeds standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Also, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified.
