City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management Lifts Boil Water Advisory for Residents and Businesses in the City of Fairburn and South Fulton
ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has lifted the boil water advisory issued on Thursday, July 2, 2026, for impacted Fairburn and South Fulton residents and businesses on Roosevelt Highway and Bohannon Road.
Sampling results have confirmed that no contamination was detected in the public water system. Water may be used for all purposes without boiling. The City’s drinking water meets or exceeds standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Also, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified.
