City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management Lifts Boil Water Advisory
for Residents and Businesses in Atlanta Downtown Corridor

ATLANTA –  BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED. As of 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has lifted the Boil Water Advisory issued on Friday, May 22, 2026, for customers in the Atlanta downtown corridor.

Sampling results have confirmed that no contamination was detected in the public water system. Water may be used for all purposes without boiling. The City’s drinking water meets or exceeds standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as required by the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. Also, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division has been notified.
