This program will give eligible customers more time and flexibility to pay what they owe while keeping their water service active.
With PromisePay, customers will be able to:

- Choose payment amounts that work for their budget
- Set payment dates that fit their schedule
- Manage their plan online from their phone or computer

1. What is PromisePay?
PromisePay is an online service that Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has partnered with to offer interest-free, convenient, and flexible payment plans to help you pay off your total balance over time.
2. Who is eligible?
All residential and commercial customers who are not currently enrolled in an Atlanta DWM in-house payment plan are eligible for a PromisePay payment plan.
3. Why is Atlanta Department of Watershed Management offering payment plans?
Atlanta DWM’s goal is to ensure customers can comfortably manage their financial obligations while maintaining essential water services. PromisePay offers flexible options to help customers stay on track and avoid service interruption.
4. Will I ever be charged interest for my payment plan? Are there any fees?
No. PromisePay payment plans are interest-free. Atlanta DWM does not charge late fees on PromisePay installment payments.
5. Are there any transaction fees?
Yes. Transaction fees depend on your payment method:
- ACH (bank transfer): $0.50 per transaction
- Credit Card/Debit Card/Prepaid Debit Card or Apple Pay/Google Pay:
- $3.00 per transaction for payments up to $150
- 3.00% per transaction for payments greater than $150
6. What charges does this plan cover?
Your payment plan covers your total balance as of the day you enroll. However, you must pay all new Atlanta DWM bills directly throughout the life of your PromisePay plan.
7. Once I’m enrolled, where do I pay my new Atlanta DWM bills, to PromisePay or Atlanta DWM?
Please pay new bills you receive directly to Atlanta DWM. You must continue to pay your new bill charges directly to Atlanta DWM. Your agreed upon PromisePay plan payments must be paid to Promise.
8. How flexible are these payment plans?
PromisePay plans are designed to be flexible. If you are in good standing, you may:
- Request a short extension for a single scheduled payment as long as the new date falls between the original payment date and your next scheduled payment date. Regular schedule resumes afterwards. No skipped payments allowed.
- You may also change your recurring monthly payment date. This new date must be within 15 days of the original date
- You may also add a new Atlanta DWM bill to your PromisePay plan one time within the lifetime of your plan.
9. If I sign up for a Promise payment plan, am I still eligible for other financial assistance from Atlanta DWM?
Yes, if you sign up for a payment plan with PromisePay you may still be eligible for other financial assistance from Atlanta DWM. Please work directly with Atlanta DWM to determine if you are eligible for other programs.

11. When is a new Atlanta Department of Watershed Management bill considered past due?
Atlanta Department of Watershed Management bills are considered past due one day past the printed “Due Date.”
